Life has been a little bit busy lately.Tyli is now moble and has started to terrorize McKade just like he terrorized Dallin. It is fun to watch. Last week we had our banquet for football. If you have been looking at the little side bar you could see that we went 6-1-1. It was a great team. The game we lost really was an abomination. We had our banquet at one of our assistant coaches house. He has horses so the kids were able to ride around before things got started.


McKade had it in his head that wanted to ride the horse. He was jumping up and down yelling "horsey ride, horsey ride" for around five minutes. When he finally got on the horse he was really nervious and shy.

Dallin was scared at first and didn't want to ride. We finally got him on the horse and you could see in the video that he really did have fun. Tyli didn't quite know what to think but just sat on the horse. When she first went to pet a horse she stuck her entire hand up the horses nose. Kind of funny.

For food at the banquet we had a huge BBQ and we cooked over 120 burgers and 120 hotdogs. It was a great banquet. The only bad part was I forgot to bring the certificates. We do fun awards. I hate boring old sit down and listen for three hour banquets. This is probably one of the funnest banquests I have been a part of. Track was fun last year also as we did do a 35 yard long slip and slide.It was a lot of fun.

Dallin who sometimes is a little shy in public, was totally comfortable with my football players. He sat and ate with them. The players later told me that he was laughing at all the jokes they were telling.

Sometimes I look at these freshmen players and wonder how we won any games they are so goofy. We averaged over 43 points a game and held our opponents under 19 points. Most those points came against 3rd and 4th stringers. You forget how young these kids really are. Jami was super busy and I am sure she will tell you about it on her blog. Mine just wasn't her style.
