What do you think?

Jami and I just had a conversation about how sneaky our little daughter might already be. When we moved Tyli out of the crib and into a toddler bed it was also time for the Binki to go. She is not allowed to have the Binki during the day but we let her still have one at night. She did not like this idea very much. It is amazing how many binkis we thought were lost appeared out of nowhere. One night last week we heard Tyli rolling around and kicking the wall. She is a crazy sleeper and it is nothing new. Every night we hear her kicking the wall as she rolls around. this time she started to cry so we went in to calm her down and put her back to sleep. Neither Jami or I could find her pink binki anywhere. We looked all around the bed, in the sheets, basically everywhere. When we couldn't find it Jami went and got the green binki to give to her.
In the morning the first thing Jami does when Tyli wakes up is get her binki from her. She took the green binki she had given her when she woke up in the night away from her and changed her diaper. The instant Tyli was on the ground she ran to her closet door opened it, picked up the "lost" pink binki, and ran quickly out of the room.
Option #1: She made an incredibly lucky guess that a binki happened to be in the closet.
Option #2: What we thought was her kicking the wall was the closet door closing after she put the binki in it. She then hopped back in bed and cried for a binki until we went in a gave her another one. Then in the morning when the other binki was taken away she went to her hidden stash in the closet, grabbed the pink binki, and made a run for it.

I am really hoping that it was option #1 but I don't think so. What do you think? Is my little, cute, innocent daughter already that sneaky?

I think the little sneakster is still in the learning process. If she totally wanted to get away with it, she would have waited until she was alone before she retrieved the planted binki. However, I can see that she's at least merciful to the point that she didn't switch the binkis in the middle of the night and have Jamie baffeled how could the binkis switched, and still only find one. Maybe she's getting tips from her big brothers.
