Sunday was not quite the day of rest it should have been. After church we went to my parents house and celebrated McKade's Birthday. Jami had made a double layered homemade chocolate cake. It is referred to as the cow cake. McKade's favorite animal is a cow so we put a variety of cows on top of the cake grazing on the green sprinkles. It was good. From there we hurried over to Kimball the cheesecake master's own birthday celebration. It is so much fun to watch the "friends" kids step on, hug, and jump over anything they can together. We are getting old! Because we arrived late we were able to see Heather and Corry come as they arrived later then us. Heather brought her brother with her. My kids kept eating the m&m's so I told them that if they grabbed any more that Heather's brother would bite their fingers! McKade instantly ran away and would not take his eyes off of Heather's brother. In fact after about 5 minutes he began to cry because he was so scared. He was mumbling under his breath "no bite my finger." This is not a parenting technique I would recommend even though it accomplished the task quite well.
My first game is tomorrow against Queen Creek. We'll see how that goes.
