More Photoshop Fun

If you didn't notice in a couple post back most of the photos had been tampered with. I enjoy playing around with photoshop every now and again. This was my latest project. On my computer at school for the month of December I had a picture of "American Gothic" except the people where covered with snow and looked like snowman. I thought I would take the same picture and do a football theme. If some of you out there did not do well in your humanities class the "American Gothic" looks a little something like this.
Those of you who have played around with photoshop know that what may look simple to do sometimes turns out to be quite difficult to make it look good at all. I took a the original American Gothic Picture, a picture of a referee, a picture of a cheerleader, a picture of chains, and a picture of a dirt road. Because dial up does not lend itself to searching for a whole bunch of pictures I had to settle with what I found. This led to problems as the referee's arms are at his hips while the president Eyring look a like in American Gothic's arms are at his sides. This left empty space that didn't exist in the original painting. I had to fill the spaces with the picture of the dirt road. I also couldn't just bend the arms because the stripes looked all funky. I ended up having to redraw many parts and that made the image look a little blury. Then I realized that the whole picture is slightly grainy and I had to figure which filter would work best to add the grain to the other pictures. The skin color of the woman in the picture and and the cheerleader were not the same and this took some time to resolve. Anyways if you look at the picture at a glance without me pointing out all the flaws I think it looks ok. It is too bad I didn't have time to take it slow and do it right. I just wanted to get this out there and confirm to you what all my students know that yes, I still am a "little" bit of a dork.

Cauley that is so funny! You are such a creative thinker to even come up with that. Tell the family 'hello.'
