Goodbye Family Table

After having our old brown van drive off (which is a whole crazy story in itself) and not taking any pictures I thought it might upset a few of my siblings if I didn't take a picture or two of our old kitchen table biting the dust. It was the only table I can remember using growing up. When Jami and I were married we inherited the old kitchen table. We used it exclusively for the first 5 years of our marriage. Then we moved to a round table that better fit our small little kitchen and the family table was moved outside. There it was put to use for wonderful outside picnics, pumpkin carving parties, and some excellent BBQ's. Unfortunately, the many years of service has been hard on its once glossy laminate and the weather finally did it in. It was warped and rusted out. It was almost impossible to remove the dust from this table. So yesterday I had a fun time (It must be the primal urge most boys have to destroy things) actually jumping on it and smashing it to little bits so that it would fit in an already full garbage can. It actually fit, and the garbage truck took it away to kitchen table heaven this morning. Thank You Old Kitchen Table!!
