Schools Done

Year four officially goes into the books. I feel that I am a somewhat experienced teacher now so when I see other teachers who have taught over 30 years it is pretty amazing. I had the wonderful opportunity to teach with my dad for one semester. He was asked to come back and teach at Higley to cover for a teacher who left. It was a lot of fun. I loved being able to see him most every day. He was able to re-retire if that is such a thing. This was a good year sports wise. We had a great football season, a good wrestling season, and a great track season. Our Boys track team broke every school record but 5. There are 19 school records we keep track of. The girls also broke a ton of records. Last Saturday my pole vaulter also won the AZ decathlon. Dallin came with and had a good time. He had his first real experience trying to catch grasshoppers. He finally caught one when it jumped onto his leg. I don't know who jumped high Dallin or the Grasshopper. These last few weeks were very exhausting. Football weights starts on Tues. of next week. We actually have a passing league game on Sat. I don't think I am going to make it.

Graduation will be interesting tonight as it is pouring rain. It cost over $10,000 to rent all the chairs. I wonder if they will get a refund. Anyways I am just glad to finish off the year. Only 25 more to go until I can retire. Yeah!
