My Blog is Boring

I was reading my blog and thinking that it sounded a bit boring. I sound like I have been hanging around 9th graders sick of school for too long. So I decided to mention some of the fun things we have been doing. During the busy week of the State track meet Seth was in town for his sister's wedding. We had a great mothers day dinner at my parents house (it was a real feast as my parents fridge broke and they had to cook a lot of the food or it would go bad) then over to Seth's parents house to visit. Dallin sees this mansion house as his own and feels very comfortable there. He walked right in said hello to Seth and then ran up the stairs so he could look off the balcony. The boys had a lot of fun rolling the sphere thing down the stairs as it would expand on the way down. We were at Seth's parents house for quite a while and we were all pooped by the time we left. It was way past the kids bed times as well as our East Coast friends normal bed times. We have also been having fun with Tyli's new found skill in walking. Her whole attitude on life has changed. She is more stubborn then ever but she is also pretty dang cute when she wants to be. She already loves shoes. We were in Walmart and happened to walk right past the shoe section. She was very tired and was almost ready to crash. When we passed the shoes she perked right up and yelled shoes, shoes, shoes, the entire time we were passing them. She also like glasses. Just don't try to take them off of her. When school was done a fellow teacher was throwing away her little stereo as the CD player no longer worked. When I was asking her why she was throwing it away she said I could have it as the tape player and radio still worked. I passed as I already have a stereo for my room. Then I began to think about how much the boys like music so I went back and got it for them. I am sure glad I did. They love it. They both sit in their room and dance. I found a bunch of old tapes that I had made in the 80's early 90's. Dallin's favorite is Return of the Jedi on tape. I remember listening to that tape when I was a little kid. We also purchased the white plastic shelves you can see next to Dallin to solve our toy mess issues. Our house has been much cleaner the last few days. I hope it continues to work.

Finally I told Jami that if she found a workout that she liked I would do it with her. She found the video, got some new shoes (I suppose we can splurge for new athletic shoes for her every 5 years), and we got started this week.

We have been working out with Jillian, self proclaimed toughest trainer on TV. Jami is funny. She showed me her new found calf muscle. She claims she has never had them her entire life. She has been going hard for 5 days now. I was still recovering from the family illness that was being passed around so I am only on day 3. After doing the workout I can understand what she was saying about her calves. Mine are still sore. It is a good video. There are three levels Jami has been doing level 1. I of course, decided to skip straight to level three. OUCH! It was pretty rough. I am planning to use some of the moves on the incoming freshmen conditioning/weigh camp I am coaching this summer. They will love it! Saturday morning we all did the workout together as a family. McKade doesn't like to participate but Dallin did almost everything. He is starting to get the jumping jacks down. Tyli would lay on the ground and lift her feet while we all did sit ups. We had to stop working out a few times as we were laughing too hard at our kids. I guess you still burn calories while laughing. If we keep up with the video we will definitely get into shape in a hurry. If I haven't mentioned it before I LOVE THE FACT THAT SUMMER IS HERE!!!!
